Positive Etch is the default selection. The design is etched and the background is left clear for a more transparent look.

Negative Etch is when the design is left clear and the background is etched for a more obscure look.

The default design is the left one which is represented on this website. Right inserts have the design reversed or mirrored. The selection of a right design is available on some designs at no additional charge.

Tempered Glass
The only glass we use to etch our cabinet and door inserts on is 3/16" tempered safety glass. It is five times stronger than annealed glass. It can also "flex" or bend significantly more without breaking and it resists impact, shock, thermal and mechanical stress making it the perfect glass to ship via FedEx..
